Raipur: The central and state governments are constantly working to increase the income of farmers and facilitate them. The central government continues to run many types of schemes for the farmers, while the state governments also keep bringing different types of schemes. In order to promote horticulture crops, the Chhattisgarh government has decided to give short-term loans to farmers without interest.

In Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has announced that farmers of the state will be given loans up to Rs 3 lakh at zero interest rate. Through this loan, farmers can cultivate horticulture crops such as maize, groundnut, etc. Apart from this, grants on various equipment including technical training for advanced cultivation of horticulture crops and irrigation for advanced farming are also being provided by the government to hone the skills of the farmers.

The area of horticulture crops in Chhattisgarh is 834.311 hectares and the production is 11,236.447 metric tonnes. Under this scheme of government, farmers are being motivated to cultivate horticulture. This scheme will promote horticulture farming not only in Chhattisgarh but in the entire country. Similarly, to promote protected farming, the government also gives grants to farmers to set up greenhouses, poly houses, shed net houses, etc. Also, farmers are constantly given guidance on farming from the Kisan Call Center. Farmers can get information by calling 1800-180-1511.
