Indore: The form of backwater which is 90 km before Punasa Dam at the mouth of Narmada River, has been named Kitty. It is 55 km from Punasa via water and at the mouth is the guest house of the forest department. If you go from Indore to Satwas and then to Punasa Road, then about 136 km away, Kitty (local village name is Kitti) spot is situated.

The forest department is planning to create a wave of thrill in this empty backwater, which will take shape in 2021. It takes three to four hours to travel from Kitty to Hanuwantiya by road. Now this journey will be completed through the water in just one to one and a half hours.

There is back water till 5 km journey - 90 km in the forest. Punasa is 55 km from Dam. It takes 04 hours to reach this place by water from Punasa. After taking 4 villages and 5 km of the forest by road, the back water of Narmada welcomes you. There is news that camping, water sports and other activities are going to be started on a large scale in the kitty too. According to the information received, the Conservator of Forests RD Mishra says that there is a plan to start camping, water sports and other activities on a large scale in the kitty on the lines of Hanuwantia. Forest Minister Vijay Shah has also talked about developing this exciting place as a new tourist centre.
