Lucknow: An agreement between the Uttar Pradesh Police and Facebook saved the life of a young man. In fact, on the night of January 31 in the Vijay Nagar area of Ghaziabad, a young man posted a video on Facebook that he was going to hang himself. Facebook immediately reported this to the Uttar Pradesh DGP's office through email.

After this, the UP Police immediately came into action and searched the location of the young man and informed the Vijaynagar police of Ghaziabad. Vijayanagar police immediately reached the spot and stopped the young man from committing suicide. The police, who reached the spot, were saying that if the police had been late, this young man would have left the world. However, it was not so easy for the police, because the exact location of the young man was not known. After which the police adopted another method. The police started talking to the young man on the phone continuously, after which the young man was taken into confidence and after that, his life was saved.

Police have said that this young man is originally a resident of Kannauj in Uttar Pradesh. He lives in Sector 12 of Vijay Nagar, Ghaziabad. Until a few days ago, this young man used to work. After that, he started his own mobile business, in which he suffered a loss of 90 thousand, due to which he was going to commit suicide.

What is the agreement between UP Police and Facebook?

Actually, on Tuesday (January 31) at 9.57 pm, Abhay Shukla was making the noose by coming live on Instagram. Seeing the video, the headquarters of Instagram-Facebook (US) sent an email alert to the Social Media Center of UP Police. Abhay's registered mobile number was also mentioned in this email. When the police immediately took the number under surveillance, the location turned out to be Ghaziabad. The special thing in this whole case is that it took only 13 minutes from the time of the alert to reaching the spot. The police returned only after counseling for about 6 hours and after the family reached the young man. UP Police had made an agreement with Meta Company in March 2022 that if a post related to the suicide of a person is seen on Facebook or Instagram, the police should be alerted immediately.
