Dehradun: An incident of lapse in the security of former CM Harish Rawat has come to light in a program in Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand. In Kashipur of Udham Singh Nagar, a person reached Rawat's stage with a knife. Due to this, there was a ruckus among the workers and leaders present there. The workers immediately caught the man and snatched the knife from him.

Thereafter, he was handed over to the police. Udham Singh Nagar Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dilip Singh Kunwar said a case has been registered against a man for allegedly waving a knife during a program organized by the Congress party. Former Chief Minister Harish Rawat was also present in the program. At present the police is probing the matter.

On the other hand, in Halduchur (Nainital), former CM Harish Rawat said that within a week after the Congress government comes to power in the state, recruitment will be started in all government departments. They will be made self-reliant sitting at home by connecting mother power with self-help groups. In the public meeting of Congress held in Bhawan Singh Nawad village of Motahaldu, Harish Rawat alleged that the present government did not do any work in 5 years. Now the PM and CM are roaming around and opening the box of assurances. Apart from drying the grass of the stadium built during the Congress rule, no other work could be done. The government has ended the opportunities of self-employment. The same matter is being investigated by the police.
