Tirupati temple is considered to be the richest temple due to the highest offerings. A devotee has donated 4 acres of land and Rs 3.16 crore to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) to build the temple of Prabhu Venkateswara in Tamil Nadu. The cost of the land is about 20 crores. This devotee is a member of the TTD Trust Board, R. Kumaraguru. The donation has been given for the construction of a temple at Ullandurupeta in Kallakurichi town in Tamil Nadu.

He is also the MLA of AIDMK from Kumaraguru Ulandurupeta. Kumaraguru handed over checks and land ownership papers to TTD chairman YV Subba Reddy on Saturday. On this occasion, the head of the TTD board said that on the orders of CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy of Andhra Pradesh, TTD has started propagating Hindu Sanatan Dharma from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. TTD will soon lay the foundation stone of the Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple building in Jammu under this ceremony.

TTD chairman Reddy said that Kumaraguru has donated his four acres of land worth Rs 20 crore to the people of his constituency to facilitate the darshan of Lord Venkateswara. Earlier, in December, he had given a check of one crore rupees. Kumaraguru has also told that in the future, he will continue to raise funds for whatever will be spent on the construction of the temple. The TTD chairman said that the foundation stone of the temple will be laid in Tamil Nadu by choosing a good Muhurta.
