On Thursday, Ministry of Home Affairs has announced that The Resistance Front (TRF) is a proxy organisation of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT)- a proscribed terrorist group which is banned under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA). It has been declared through a Gazette notification saying that TRF is an terrorist organisation came into existence in 2019.

Sheikh Sajjad Gul is the commander of the TRF and has been declared a terrorist under UAPA and the activities were also detrimental for the sovereignty of India. TRF was the organisation behind the major attacks happened in India inclusive of Kashmiri Pandits, migrant workers, and on the security forces of Kashmir. They even have attacked on Jammu's region Indian Air Force (AIF) camp using drones to smuggle amunations and used hybrid terrorists to carry out those attacks. Hybrid are those who are not highly trained and usually engaged in overground work but at the same time ca perform hit an drun tasks.

Ministry of Home Affairs has said in a statement that Lashkar-e-Taiba is involved in more psychological operations through social media for whip up people of Jammu and Kashmir so they could join terrorist groups against the India. Home Minister Amit Shah during a meeting last month with top officials in Kashmir and centre came up with srtict actions against the terrorist groups (TRF) and activities.

Ministry has also declared the LeT organisation commander Mohammed Amin alias Abu Khubaib an individual terrorist who belongs to Jammu and Kashmir but currently residing in Pakistan. Several cases  has been registered against TRF members and associates for planning of killing the security forces and civilians. Abu Khubaib has been involved in synchronizing of supply of arms and ammunitions, terrorist attack, terror funding  in region of Jammu and Kashmir from across the border. 

Lashkar-e-Taiba organisation has been involved in 26/11 Mumbai attack and several other terror acts. According to a senior intelligence official TRF was formed to maintain a plausible deniablity to Pakistan for attacking on India, while all this comes under scrutiny of Financial Action task force.
TRF was formed by LeT an organisation created by Hafiz Saeed in collabration of Pakistan Army and ISI in 2019, after India has passed the bill to remove the Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, which used to provide consider the state an individual where same laws weere not followed as of whole of India.

In the notification by Ministry of Home Affairs said that "TRF is recruiting youth through online medium for furtherance of terrorist activities and has been involved in carrying out propaganda on terror activities, recruitment of terrorists, infiltration of terrorists and smuggling of weapons and narcotics from Pakistan into Jammu and Kashmir”.
