Lucknow: Abdul Rahman, the head of Shibli National PG College in Uttar Pradesh's Azamgarh district, has been arrested by the UP Police for allegedly making provocative statements. Rahman kept 80 crore people (Hindus) at the tip of his feet and there were many other controversial things. Rahman made this provocative statement during the ongoing campaign against BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma after being instigated by Mohammad Zuber of the propaganda portal AltNews.

In the video that is going viral of Rahman, a huge crowd has gathered around him with posters in his hands. Rahman is addressing the crowd saying, "The appeal to those who are standing here is that whatever be the issue of Muslims and especially if there is any issue of Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon them), we have to stand on against them." I say that it should be 80 crores, 80 thousand or 80 billion. When it comes to Mohammed, I keep 80 billion on the tip of my toe.' Supporting Rahman's statement, the crowd present there starts raising slogans of 'Nara-e-Takbir, Allah Hu Akbar'. Another person in the same crowd is shouting slogans to the rest of the people present there that 'Gustakh-e-Rasool's Ki Ek Hi Saza - Sar Tan Se Juda, Sar Tan Se Juda.' This video going viral is being told around 7.30 pm on 28 May 2022 (Saturday). According to Azamgarh Police SP City Shailendra Lal, 'It has come to the notice from Twitter that Abdul Rehman has given an inflammatory speech near Shibli College. During this, an attempt has been made to spread hatred. In this regard, the police have taken action under case crime number 242/2022 section IPC 295A. A person named Abdul Rehman has been detained for questioning and legal action is being taken.
Along with Abdul Rahman, Sarfaraz Ahmed also played a key role in gathering this crowd that raised objectionable slogans. Sarfaraz Ahmed is a law student from Shibli College. It claimed to have informed the outpost in-charge of the local Paharpur about his proposed performance on May 28 itself along with Abdul Rehman. He also shared a letter in this regard. Though the letter sent to the police promised a peaceful demonstration, it was said to keep the majority of the country on the tip of their feet and raised the slogans of beheading. These people were putting up derogatory posts about the Shivling found in Gyanvapi a few days ago and today, on hearing one thing against their religion, they have become ungrateful to do bloodshed.
