Washington: Indian-American Parliamentarian Raja Krishnamurthy has recently said, "Nearly 20 lakh Hindus from several states will play an important role in the US presidential election," he said to fellow members of his community, "It is his religion to exercise his franchise."

That is why Krishnamurthy had a programme online in the beginning. In which he appealed to the community members to vote for Democratic Party presidential candidate Joe Biden and his running mate (vice presidential candidate) Indian American Kamala Harris on November 3, he said, "I think it is very important to elect Biden because of the Hindu value 'Vasudand Kutumbakam'. We believe in treating everyone respectfully."

Krishnamurthy also said, "This is the most important election of our lives. In 60 days, on November 3, whether you assume or not, 2 million Hindu-Americans will play a key role in voting in several states. Not only in Florida but in Virginia and Pennsylvania and Michigan and Wisconsin, this list is long. It is our duty to vote." While Amit Jain, director of Biden's presidential campaign AAPI, also appealed to the community to vote.
