Lucknow: Ayesha Khan, 22, of Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, was appointed British High Commissioner to India for one day on 4 October. On this, Ashya said, 'I was lucky that I got this opportunity. I got an opportunity to meet people from different groups. Ayesha expressed her wish and said that I want to work at the ground level for human rights and gender equality.

Ayesha Khan of Gorakhpur became Britain's High Commissioner to India by winning the 'High Commissioner for a Day' competition. It is worth mentioning that this competition was organized under the International Day of the Girl Child to be celebrated on 11 October. Girls from 18 to 23 years old can participate in this competition. After winning this competition, 22-year-old Ayesha Khan worked as the High Commissioner of Britain on 4 October.
