Lucknow: A teacher in Uttar Pradesh's Barabanki duped his student on the pretext of getting him a job. The teacher, along with his partner, had promised to get the student a supervisor's job in FCI. For this, he also handed over a fake appointment letter to the victim by taking Rs 3.5 lakh. When the young man scanned the QR code on the appointment letter, it did not open. The young man then came to know about the fraud with him.
After this, when the teacher and his companions reached the student to collect the remaining money, he called the police and got both of them arrested. The incident took place in Naraini village under the Deva police station area. Giving information in this regard, police officer Bhanu Pratap Singh has said that Udaybhan Verma, a resident of Kasimganj, had taught him till Class 8. One day he met Udaybhan, his former teacher.
During the conversation, the teacher said that he and his friends live in Kanpur. There the friend will get a supervisor's job in FCI. But, it will cost Rs 12 lakh. To assure the unemployed Bhanu, Udaybhan, a teacher, said he had got his wife and brother-in-law employed in the railways. After this, the unemployed Bhanu gave him Rs 3.5 lakh, but the teacher cheated on his unemployed student.
