Dehradun: In many cities of the state including Dehradun, there is a possibility of light rain even today. The weather department has expressed the possibility of rain in most cities. According to the bulletin issued by the weather center, there is a possibility of strong showers in some areas in the capital Dehradun, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar and Nainital cities. Apart from this, light rain is expected in Pauri, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Uttarkashi, Almora, Udhamsingh Nagar, Tehri.

The Kedarnath Yatra route remained closed at Rudraprayag-Gaurikund on Saturday. At the same time, Badrinath highway is blocked from debris and roads are closed in Rishikesh, Lambagad and Kshetrapal. JCB machines are opening the way. Also, due to heavy rains in Rudraprayag daily, 24 motorways in the district have been closed for a long time, in which 14 motorways have suffered heavy losses. It may take a long time to repair the routes, due to which the villagers of more than one hundred villages have to walk for miles to reach the market.

Also, the Gorpa-Sirwadi-Kurchhola vehicle route connecting Bangar in Jakholi block and more than thirty villages of Silgarh strip has been blocked since August 9. On the other hand, the Chhenagad-Baksir vehicle road has been blocked since August 11 in Barkandi Gadera, due to which the contact of ten villages of East Bangar has been broken from the Tehsil and District Headquarters. On the other hand, 24 motorways are blocked including Mayali-Ranadhar, Rudraprayag-Chopra-Kurjhan-Kandai, Kandai-Kamoldi-Barsoori Chaka-Budoli, Chenagad-Uchola, Badiargarh-Dhaodangi-Saurakhal, Banswara-Kansil-Chandranagar-Mohankhal. Also, people are facing many problems due to the closure of the route.
