Dehradun: A car travelling from Bhatwari to Harshil Gangotri on Gangotri Highway plunged into a deep pit. One person died while three others were injured in an accident between Dabrani and Gangnani. The same injured have been admitted to the district hospital after giving first aid at CHC Bhatwari.

According to reports, a car was heading towards Harshil Gangotri at 9.30 pm on Thursday when it went out of control between Dabrani and Gangnani and plunged into a 100 m deep pit. Harsh Mishra (32) resident Auraiya UP died on the spot in the accident. Ritesh alias Anshul, Ramesh Singh and Vishal Kushwaha were injured in the incident. Police and SDRF teams rushed to the spot and evacuated the deceased and the injured.

On the other hand, the capital Dehradun is now experiencing cold in the morning and night. The weather has become pleasant these days. The sun and clouds are also visible day in and day out. It was cloudy in Dehradun on Friday. The same Badrinath received snowfall on the higher reaches in the early hours of Friday after rain. There has been snowfall on Neel Kanth, Urvashi, Nar-Narayan and mana mountain peaks. Badrinath is now experiencing severe cold wave conditions.
