Lucknow: A hearing is going to be held today in the disputed Gyanvapi campus case located in the city of Baba Vishwanath, Varanasi. Today, a hearing will be held in the fast track court on the right to worship the Shivlinga idol found in Gyanvapi's Vajukhana, the ban on the entry of Muslims, and the removal of illegal structures built in Gyanvapi premises. Earlier, in the hearing held on November 17, the court had considered this petition worthy of hearing. The Muslim side had filed a petition for debate on its maintainability. The Muslim side demanded the dismissal of the petition of the Hindu side.

But on the last hearing, Judge Mahendra Pandey of the Fast Track Court had accepted the matter as worth hearing. After this, the court fixed the date of December 2 in this matter. In this case, the petitioner Kiran Singh filed a petition on 24 May. In this, the DM of Varanasi, the Police Commissioner, Anjuman Intejamia Committee as well as Vishwanath Temple Trust were made defendants. Later on May 25, District Court Judge AK Vishwesh transferred the case to the fast-track court. In his petition, Kiran Singh has requested to ban the entry of Muslims into the Gyanvapi campus, to hand over the campus to Hindus, and to grant them the right to regularly worship the Shivlinga figure found on the campus.

On the other hand, the Allahabad High Court had on November 30 asked Hindu and Muslim petitioners in the Gyanvapi Masjid case to approach the apex court to find out whether it had verified the results, including carbon dating, of the Shiva linga found in the mosque premises on May 16. Whether any scientific investigation has been banned or not. Let us inform you that in May, on the orders of the court, a videography survey of the Gyanvapi-Shringar Gauri campus was conducted. In the survey, a Shivling-like figure was found in the Vajukhana of the Gyanvapi campus. Describing it as Shivling, the Hindu side had said that Adi Vishweshwar has appeared in Gyanvapi. At the same time, the Muslim side was calling it a fountain. To solve this question and bring out the truth, the Hindu side demanded carbon dating of 'Shivling', so that it would be known how old the figure is, as well as it would be clear whether it is a Shivling or a fountain. However, the court did not allow carbon dating and the question remained the same.
