Chennai Police recovered the bodies of a 35-year-old woman in Kovilancheri near Selaiyur in Tamilnadu. The body has been removed from a septic tank in the area. The police are now searching for a young man with whom the woman lived in the relationship. Police said that the woman's name is Devi. She was from Villupuram. She lived here on the land of Gunasekaran and looked after his animals here.

It has been revealed in the preliminary investigation that a man named Manikandan came to Devi last month. He introduced himself as her husband. He was living with her. However, it has been found in the investigation that the marriage of Devi was done with a person named Murgan but they separated from two years ago.

Police said that Gunasekaran used to live with his wife on the first floor of the building while Devi and Manikandan were staying on the ground floor. On March 16, Gunasekaran’s wife made coffee. She came to call the Devi but Devi was not at home. Manikandan was alone at home. After a while, Gunasekaran arrived to call Devi for breakfast but found that the Devi and Manikandan were not at home. He called the police when he suspected the disappearance of Devi. On Wednesday, Gunasekar got stench from septic tanks. When they showed septic tanks, they saw the feet of a woman. They reported to the police. The police had removed the decayed body from the septic tank. The body was identified as Devi. The police sent the body to the post-mortem.
