A woman tried to commit suicide by slitting her throat, upset that her husband had cheated on her. The incident took place at Dharmavaram in Anantapur district on Wednesday. According to the preliminary investigation of the police, Anjali (25) of Guttakindapalli in Dharmavaram was married to a driver named Purushottam. He left her after a second marriage. 
She was deeply upset by this. On Wednesday he cut his throat with a blade in front of everyone. She had severe bleeding in the background. Police who intercepted her immediately rushed her to the hospital. This saved lives. Police have registered a case and are investigating.
