Yogi govt to honor madrasa students amid row over survey

Lucknow: Amid the ongoing survey controversy in Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi government is going to honour the talented children of madrasas. Minority Welfare Minister Dharampal Singh said that some talented children of madrasas who have cleared NEET exams should be felicitated so that awareness about higher education is created among other children and children of madrasas can be motivated to move forward and study.

Dharampal Singh has said that with the modernization of education of the madrasas survey, students and scholars will be able to get selected for doctors, engineers, IAS and higher posts as per the intention of the state government. Not only this, the money will be sent to the accounts of the students studying in madrasas through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). So that students can buy books as per convenience. While reviewing the progress of conducting a survey of unrecognized madrasas, Dharampal Singh said that the progress of survey work should be supervised regularly by all the districts regarding the survey work and there should be no confusion about the survey.

The minister further said that the survey work is being done only for the purpose of compiling information about unrecognised madrasas and is not related to any kind of investigation. He said that it is the aim of the state government to make the education of madarsas in line with a quality and modern education system.
