Sambhal ( Uttar Pradesh): Another incident of love jihad is coming to light from Sambhal district of UP, where a man living here trapped a young woman working in Noida by changing his identity. Thereafter, she was physically abused and pressurised to convert. The victim girl has lodged a complaint with the police. On receiving the news, activists of the Hindu organization reached the police post and raised slogans against the police administration.

Actually, the girl, a resident of Morwa in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh, works in a company in Noida. Four years ago, a man lured her into a love affair by posing as Anurag Thakur. Meanwhile, the man made physical relations with the girl on the pretext of marriage and recorded photos and videos. It is alleged that after this the young man kept blackmailing the girl. They also duped the girl of Rs 6 lakh. After that, when the girl pressured the man for marriage, he started pressuring her to change her religion for marriage. The girl was stunned to hear about the conversion. She came to know that the name of the young man is not Anurag, but Zaid Ali is a resident of Narauli village under Baniather police station area in Chandausi tehsil of Sambhal. When the girl came to know about the youth's conspiracy, she demanded the youth to return the money, on which the man started threatening to kill her and fled from Noida. When the youth did not return, the girl reached the Narauli police post in Baniather police station area of Sambhal district. The girl informed the police about the incident.

When the Hindu organizations got information about the same case, people gathered and reached the Narauli police post. At the same time, CO Chandausi Dr. Pradeep Singh and Baniather Police Station In-charge also reached the spot. When strict action was not taken, the people of the organization got angry with the functioning of the police. Members of the Hindu outfit raised slogans against the police administration in front of the CO and the station house officer. He calmed the ruckus by assuring action. The Baniather police station registered a case of love jihad against the culprit on the complaint of the girl late at night. The victim girl told that Zaid Ali used to blackmail by making videos. He threatened to kill me. He told me his name was Anurag Thakur. Kaushal Kishore, an activist of the Hindu organization, said that the girl came to know that the young man was a Muslim. The young man is not Anurag, but Zaid Ali, so he came here. Additional Superintendent of Police Dr Srishchand said the girl has lodged a complaint alleging that she was physically abused on the pretext of marriage and pressurised her to change her religion. A case is being registered on the basis of the complaint. The culprit has been arrested.
