30 lakh worth goods stolen from BJP leader and former minister's home

Patna: In Bihar, thieves have carried out a major incident in Patna, defying the police. Breaking the house of former minister and BJP leader Baidhnath Sahni, who lives in hig colony in Bhunath area of Agamkuan police station area, thieves have carried out a theft of 6 lakh 25 thousand cash, 30 lakh gold jewellery in broad daylight.

The thief broke into the room by breaking the house of Baidhnath Sahni and carried out an incident of theft of Rs 6 lakh 25,000 in almari, cash, gold jewellery, several important documents, valuables and Rs 30 lakh. As soon as the information was received, the police rushed to the spot to investigate the entire matter.  When asked about the incident, former minister Baijnath Sahni said that he had withdrawn Rs 7 lakh from the bank last Saturday to attend the birthday celebrations of his nati.  Out of which, he had moved to Samastipur with Rs. 75, 000 and the rest was kept in the drawer of his flat.

Police are investigating CCTV footage of the surrounding areas. The former minister says he had gone to Samastipur to participate in the birthday programme of his book Home Nati. The thieves, who were involved and carried out the theft. ASI SN Pandey of Agamkuan says the police is investigating the case. Soon the thieves will be arrested. Apart from cctv footage, several people are being interrogated. Soon the thieves will be in jail.
