The 87th proceedings of Annual general Meeting (AGM) of the Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) is going to be held in Mumbai on Wednesday (September 21st) 2016). The flows which will be floating dominantly in this meeting are, dealing with the Supreme Court-appointed Lodha Committee and the International Cricket Council (ICC), specifically its chairman Shashank Manohar.
Indian 500th test is going to be played in Kanpur on 22nd September 2016 and to celebrate it, a dinner is planned today to celebrate the landmark. President Anurag Thakur and secretary Ajay Shirke and other key officials of the board will appear to attend the gathering. The annual meeting, which will begin at 11am, may not last too long. The meeting is planned short as it is not that easy to travel between Mumbai to Kanpur.
Shashank Manohar, the former chief of BCCI has be criticized to the extent by the top official of the board. Anurag Thakur on Manohar said-“ He (Manohar) abandoned a sinking ship for his ICC aspirations". The grudge against the former BCCI chief is he hasn't helped his previous organisation in tackling the Lodha crisis, and is denying India its due in the ICC revenues by killing the 'Big Three' formula.
