The Chief of Jamaat-ud-Dawah Hafiz Saeed's son and son-in-law are reportedly contesting the general elections from Punjab province on the July 25. The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has shown a green flag to both of their nomination papers of Hafiz Talha Saeed, the son and Hafiz Khalid Waleed, the son in law for the National Assembly seat-91 and National Assembly seat-133 respectively. The two are among the 65 candidates who shall be fielded by the Jamaat-ud -Dawah for contesting the elections to come, on the little-known Allah-o-Akbar Tehreek's (AAT) ticket, registered with the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). The AAT was established15 years ago and was inscribed with the ECP in the year 2013. JuD, the head for the Lashkar-e-Taiba terror outfit which accomplished the 2008 Mumbai attack which took away the lives of 166 people, has launched its political front Milli Muslim League (MML). Previously the ECP rejected MML's application to inscribe Hafiz Saeed's political party on the Pakistan interior ministry's advocacy and stated that the MML has had links with the banned militant outfits. The interior ministry wrote a letter to the ECP in September which stated that the 'recent political activities of MML have been formally objected to at the subtle level'.
