The MP Nagar police have arrested accused absconding from Jaipur airport who was carrying a reward of Rs 5000 and involved in fraud of Rs 45 lakh.

The accused Saptam Sarkar duped three persons worth Rs 45 lakh. The accused used to cheat the accused in the name of investment in gold in his fake firm Meri Sakar and provide interest on a weekly basis. He used to claim that in case of a drop in the price of gold , investors would not have any loss.

Vijay Prajapati was duped to the tune of Rs 17 lakh, Vijay Sen of Rs 11 lakh and Shahid Khan of Rs 17 lakh. To gain confidence he has married in Ashoka Garden area. After duping people he was operating from Jaipur and took a rented car on Rs 30000 per month, house on Rs 35000, opened DS jewelry office with two female secretaries. Police tracked the accused who would use key pad mobile phone and would change SIM card in 15-20 days but recently he got his mobile phone repaired and did cash withdrawal from ATM in Jaipur which confirmed that he was in Jaipur.

The police team posing as customers contacted and found that the accused would reach Jaipur airport and arrest him. Earlier the police raided the Ashoka Garden office and found his photograph which helped in the identification. Police suspect that the accused had also cheated people in Jaipur but no victims have reported yet.
