For the first time in over nine months, Adele has returned to Twitter! On Monday afternoon (October 4), when Instagram and Facebook were down, the 33-year-old artist went to the social networking site. The two social networking apps have been down for many hours, marking the company's biggest outage since 2008.

Adele's return to Twitter, however, comes only hours after she seemed to announce the upcoming release of her fourth studio album. Billboards with the number 30 have started appearing all over the world. Recently Jared, and her social media profiles have just been changed to look just like those billboards. When Facebook and Instagram were down, everyone appeared to rush to Twitter to keep in touch with the rest of the world. On Monday afternoon, when Twitter's official account tweeted, "hi literally everyone," Adele reacted with, "Hiya babes!"

Meanwhile, Adele's fans couldn't hold their excitement as they speculated about her fourth album on Twitter on Monday. The 33-year-old artist sparked intense internet discussions after changing her social media profiles to a unique dark teal colour. Observant fans noticed the colour was associated with a series of '30' billboards that appeared throughout the world last week. The '30' title, on the other hand, would match Adele's preferred manner of album naming, since all three of her studio albums have been titled after her age.
