On Monday, Selena Gomez and Coldplay teased their new collaboration, Let Somebody Go, by sharing a sneak peek of the emotional track on social media. Selena and the band both confirmed the news by releasing a teaser for the song, which will be on the band's ninth album, Music of the Spheres, expected to out on October 15.
While it had been rumoured that the band will work with Gomez on a song, the major revelation took off many surprise. Following the success of their previous collaboration with BTS for the song My Universe, it appears that the band is preparing up for another major one with Let Somebody Go, which will include Gomez. Sharing the exciting first teaser of the song on her social media, Selena simply tagged the band in her posts.Â

From the first listens, the song appears to have an emotional tone to it, with Gomez's vocals setting the tone perfectly. This is Selena's first collaboration with the band, and fans are anticipating a song will be a huge hit. Selena's fans have been waiting for her to release new music since she released 999, a collaboration with Colombian artist Camilo, in August and followed it up with Revelación, a Spanish-language EP, in March.
Meanwhile, Gomez has been working on an acting project for the series Only Murders In the Building, in which she will star with Martin Short and Steve Martin. After the release of the first season, it was recently confirmed that the show has been renewed for a second one too.Â
