Alec Baldwin has made his first public comments following the horrific shooting event that claimed the life of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of his film Rust. While the actor mourns Hutchins' death after inadvertently disarming the pretend gun that killed her, his wife Hilaria Baldwin has been a pillar of strength for him throughout this trying time.

Hilaria recently uploaded a snapshot of her hand clutching Alec's hand while writing a supportive message for him on Instagram. "I love you and I'm here," the 37-year-old novelist tweeted in support of her spouse at this difficult moment. Hilaria's post came after Alec publicly spoke about Hutchin's death for the first time in Vermont.

After the unfortunate occurrence, the 63-year-old actor revealed that Halyna was a friend and that he lamented her loss. "There are no words to communicate my horror and anguish over the horrific tragedy that took the life of Halyna Hutchins, a wife, mother, and much loved colleague of ours," Baldwin wrote on Twitter last week. He also stated that he is completely cooperating with the ongoing inquiry into the Santa Fe event.

Hilaria had also posted on Instagram, lamenting Hutchins' death and expressing her sympathies to the late cinematographer's family. In her note, she had written, "My heart is with Halyna. Her husband. Her son. Their family and loved ones. And my Alec."
