NEW DELHI: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday introduced the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Bill in the lower house. Initiating the discussion, Amit Shah said, Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India. Parliament has every right to make laws on this. Section 370 in the Congress rule was amended twice. Meanwhile, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Choudhary in the Lok Sabha scored a self-indices in a try to corner the government.
Then, on behalf of the Congress, former Union Minister Manish Tiwari took the front. He tried to handle the matter, but he also could not answer directly. Manish Tewari said during the debate on the bill, "This is a constitutional tragedy. Without the opinion of the Assembly cannot terminate Section 370. This is wrong. Today, what message do you want to convey by abolishing Section 370 that section 371 will also be abolished? What kind of move it is. Divided Jammu and Kashmir into two Union Territories, but what will happen to its constitution?
He further said, "Will the government bring a bill here to abolish that constitution?" The government did not consider various aspects at all. Junagadh had decided to merge with Pak on 15 August. There was a public outcry, then there was a public outcry and he came with India... Pak took up the issue in the UN but was dismissed. If Junagadh, Hyderabad, Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part, it is Nehru's cause." Then, after a while, he said, "You can't do it for the opinion of the Assembly. You may have got the answer.'
