Andhra Pradesh: Uncle murdered over past land dispute in Prakasam district

On Wednesday, in Prakasam district, a fight broke out between two people under the influence of alcohol over a land dispute. Enraged, the young man broke the beer bottle and stabbed the other person in the neck, killing him on the spot. The incident took place at Pedrikatla liquor shop. Going into details, Kotha Venkateswara Rao (48) and Pula Rao are relatives of Yadvalli, Kanigiri mandal near Pedarikatala. Both had come to drink liquor at the liquor shop in Pedrikatla.

After drinking alcohol, both of them got into a fight. Enraged, Pulla Rao attacked his uncle Venkateswara Rao with a beer bottle. Seriously injured, Venkateswara Rao died shortly afterwards. The deceased is survived by his wife Eswaramma and three daughters. The relatives reached the spot and later left from there.

Podili CI Sudhakar Rao and SI Shiva reached the spot and gathered information and talked to the family members. The body was sent to Podili Government Hospital for postmortem. SI Shiva said that a case has been registered and investigation is being done as per the complaint of the relatives of the deceased.
