Port Blair: A 21-year-old woman from Port Blair, the capital of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, has accused two bureaucrats of gang-raping her. One of the two bureaucrats is a 1990-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer and has been the chief secretary of the islands. The DGP here has informed in this regard that a case has been registered on the basis of the complaint of the young woman. The FIR has been lodged at Aberdeen police station in Port Blair. The case was registered on October 1, after which the police handed over the investigation of the case to the SIT.

According to media reports, in view of the safety of the young woman, they have been provided with police protection. The SIT will be headed by a senior superintendent of police, police said. The two bureaucrats against whom the FIR has been registered are Jitendra Narayan and R L Rishi. Jitendra has been the Chief Secretary of Andaman three months ago and RL Rishi was posted as Labour Commissioner. Jitendra is currently the chairman and managing director of Delhi Financial Corporation.
According to the report, the number in which the woman was taken is registered in Rishi's name. The woman has said in her complaint that CCTV footage of Jitendra's house should be seized, as well as his staff should also be questioned. The girl has given full information about the gang rape of her in the FIR. According to the FIR, she was taken to Jitendra's official residence in April and May and raped there.
