New Delhi: Arjun Tendulkar, son of master blaster Sachin Tendulkar, got a big shock before the IPL auction. He has not got a place in the Mumbai team in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy National T20 Championship. The Mumbai Cricket Association announced its 20-member squad on Saturday for the tournament that started the domestic series, which did not include Arjun Tendulkar.

Before the IPL 2021 auction, there is a big setback for Arjun Tendulkar. He has not been named in the Mumbai team for the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy and has failed to make it to the 22-man squad. The Mumbai team has named Shreyas Iyer as their captain for the Vijay Hazare ODI series starting this month. The 21-year-old Arjun was included in a senior team for the first time this year. Arjun Tendulkar made his first-class debut towards Haryana within the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Arjun made his debut in the Elite E League group match and in that match, he gave away 21 runs with a wicket in the two overs bowled.

Arjun was included by Mumbai in his 100 probables for the Vijay Hazare Trophy, but his performance in practice matches was extremely poor. Here he was seen struggling a lot. In practice matches, he played four matches for Team D, but in these, he performed poorly with both ball and bat. He took four wickets in four matches. While in batting, he could score only seven runs in three matches.
