Lucknow: The counting of votes for 403 seats for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections is underway. In the same episode, senior Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Azam Khan and his son  Mohammad Abdullah Azam Khan are leading from their respective seats. SP leader Abdullah Azam Khan, who is contesting from the Swar assembly seat in Rampur in UP, has maintained the lead. 

Samajwadi Party's Lok Sabha MP Azam Khan has been given a ticket by the party from the Rampur seat in this assembly election. He's also running ahead in his seat. Abdullah Azam Khan is pitted against Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) teacher Shankar Lal and Apna Dal (Sonelal) candidate Haider Ali Khan alias Hamza Mian. Abdullah also won by over 53,000 votes in 2017. 

At the same time, according to the trends so far, the state's deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya is leading from the Sirathu seat. He is getting a tough fight from SP and Apna Dal Kamerawadi candidate Pallavi Patel here. Keshav Prasad Maurya is in the fray from Sirathu seat in Kaushambi in the state. In the initial trends of UP, the BJP alliance has taken a lead of 165 seats, the SP alliance 85, the BSP 5, the Congress 3 and others in 2.
