Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath on Monday claimed that Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav does not want Azam Khan to come out of jail. In an interview, he said that if Azam comes out, Akhilesh's chair will be in danger. Hours after CM Yogi's statement, Azam Khan's wife Tanzeem Fatima reacted to it, saying that he always makes very wrong statements.
Fatima told the media, "It's wrong. CM Yogi Adityanath makes quite a wrong statement. This is one of them. Azam Khan always faces harassment in the state.'' Tanzeem Fatima expressed confidence in her husband's victory and said, "He is not here but the people of Rampur are with him. He will win with more votes than before.'' Fatima's statement comes at a time when Yogi took a dig at SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, saying he did not want former minister Azam Khan to come out of jail as it would put his chair in danger.
In an interview with ANI, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had said that 'Akhilesh also does not want Azam Khan to come out of jail as it will put his own position in danger.'
