BCCI mulls to call off the series between India and New Zealand which India leads by 2-0, the Justice RM Lodha led panel on Tuesday clarified that they didn't direct the banks to freeze the BCCI accounts. On the other hand BCCI claims that the panel of Lodha had directed the banks to do so.
However, Lodha clarified: "We have not frozen the accounts of BCCI, we have directed the BCCI to not disburse funds to the state association. Day to day affairs, routine expenditure, matches, games, that should go on. There is absolutely no prohibition."
The state cricketing organizations were depended on their parent organization for funds to do preparations for the ongoing series with New Zealand, said BCCI. But their functioning was trouble by the latest directive from the Lodha panel, affecting their preparations for the upcoming games in the ongoing series against New Zealand.
