Bhopal: Four officials and employees of the Food Corporation of India (FCI) office in Bhopal have been arrested for demanding bribe for payment of security agency bills. He has been arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The CBI is said to have arrested them red handed for taking Rs 1 lakh. In fact, the security agency is headquartered in Gurugram and the agency had complained to the CBI for not paying the bills if the bribe amount was not received.

As per the information received in the case, Gurugram-based security agency Captain Kapoor and Sons had received a tender of Rs 11.30 lakh per month for deployment of guards in January this year. FCI officials were demanding a commission of 10 percent per month as bribe from the agency. In that case, when they were not bribed, the payment of bills was stopped. When senior officials of the agency discussed the matter for disposal, FCI officials demanded 50,000 rupees for payment of old bills and 70,000 rupees in lieu of payment of new bills.

A complaint in this regard was lodged by the agency with the CBI last Thursday. The CBI then summoned the manager (account) to Bhopal's Mata Mandir area last Friday evening to collect Rs 1 lakh to nab the accused red-handed. FCIi Divisional Manager Harsh Inaika, Manager (Account) Arun Srivastava, Manager (Security) Mohan Parate and Clerk Kishore Meena have been arrested after accepting the bribe amount here. Arun Srivastava reportedly came in a car to collect the bribe amount. When he was caught, he said, "I don't have a part in it, so is the manager (security) Mohan Parate". All the names disclosed after the arrest.
