Bihar: Murder of a soldier who came home on vacation, know what's the matter

Ara: A soldier who came home on a holiday on Sunday night in Imadpur village under Imadpur police station area of Ara district of Bihar has been strangled to death. The body of the soldier was recovered on Monday morning from an auto parked just 200 metres from the house. The discovery of the body in the auto created panic among the villagers. They reported the incident to the police. After receiving information about the incident, Imadpur SHO Md. Rahmatullah along with Dalbal rushed to the spot and started investigating the case.

According to information received, the deceased is Mukesh Kumar, the 30-year-old son of Janeshwar Singh, a resident of Imadpur village. He was currently serving as an Army jawan in Meerut, UP. The deceased's father Janeshwar Singh said Mukesh had taken leave and reached the village on the 13th of this month. He had left home at around 9 P.M. on Sunday to defecate. Mukesh's father said that when he did not return home till late in the night, he called his mobile several times. But he did not pick up the call, after which the family searched a lot, but nothing could be ascertained. On Monday morning, a young man from the village saw his body lying in an auto parked just 200 metres from his house, after which he informed the family members of the deceased.

The family members of the deceased rushed to the spot on receiving the information and informed the local police station. The deceased's father Janeshwar Singh has not expressed any charge or apprehension of murder against anyone. While the police believe that the soldier has been strangled. Imadpur SHO Md. Rahmatullah said the cause of the murder is yet to be ascertained. It is only after the post mortem report is received that it will be fully clear how the murder has been committed.
