Madhya Pradesh by-election: BJP will make 'Chambal Express Way' an issue!

Bhopal: In the by-election of 24 assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is looking to make the issue of 'Chambal Express Way' in 16 seats of Gwalior-Chambal division. Seem Shivraj Singh Chauhan has instructed Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation to prepare a detailed project report (DPR) of the new name of this project 'Chambal Progress Way'.

There is also a possibility that the width of the existing six-lane highway will be increased. This 352 km long expressway will pass through three states- Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and UP. The BJP is preparing to cash in this by-election in the by-election, which is a four-moon project in the development of Chambal region. Bhoomi Pujan of this project will be done before the by-elections are announced.

Departmental sources say that survey work is being started for the project. Authorities have been instructed by the administration to take up this project on a priority basis. It has also been said that special care should be taken to ensure that land acquisition is minimized. The DPR of the project is under progress on a war footing. Efforts are on to complete the DPR and other formalities by the end of June.
