New Delhi: In the past, increasing protests about CAA and NRC have taken a formidable form. Two cases have been registered in violation of Section 144 against 40 people including former MLA Mavia Ali, his son, three journalists, for the sit-in demonstration in Idgah ground in protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Earlier, a report was filed against five people including the son of the former MLA.

But in protest against CAA under the banner of Muttahida Khwatin Committee, protest is going on in Idgah ground from 27 January 2020. Despite the efforts of the police administration, the sit-in demonstration of women is not ending. On the other hand, if the sources are to be believed, in the two reports that the police have filed for violation of section 144, the names of 40 people have been changed by changing the serial number.

As of now it is being said that the report filed by Khanqah Police Outpost Asghar Ali includes former MLA Mavia Ali, his son Hyder Ali, Representative Rishabh Tyagi, three journalists Musharraf Usmani, Fayim Usmani, Taslim Qureshi etc. Mavia Ali said that the administration is not sparing even the media persons who reached the protest site for coverage and is engaged in mental harassment of the citizens.
