Chandigarh: A big case of negligence of doctors has come to light in Chandigarh PGI. Here the doctors delivered a live newborn for postmortem. The postmortem department employees were also stunned after seeing the doctor's lapse. In fact, the wife of Santosh Kumar, a resident of Nayagaon, was pregnant for 5 months. His treatment was going on in the hospital of Sector-45, but the ultrasound showed that the child has a serious spinal disease.

Santosh and his wife decided to have an abortion, but due to pregnancy for more than 20 weeks, they could not get abortion, due to which they moved the High Court. After this, the court directed to set up a medical board, in which abortion was recommended, but the child came out alive during  abortion.

At the same time, the Gainee Department deemed the child dead and reached for postmortem. However, the child died within 12 hours. On this, the family of the deceased newborn has said that we have no complaint. But there is a discussion around how this negligence has happened to the doctors of such a big hospital, with this people are also questioning the hospital management.
