Kanker: Three Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) soldiers were injured in a blast IED by Naxalites in the Kanker district of Chhattisgarh on Friday. The officer said the incident took place between 12.30 pm and 1 pm near Patkalbeda village in the Raoghat police station area when a team of the 33rd battalion of SSB had left for railway line safety duty.

On the surface, he said that when the patrol was cordoning off the forest near its camp in Kosaonda village, 150 km from the capital Raipur, Naxalites carried out an IED blast in which one soldier was injured. The injured soldier has been admitted to the hospital. Two battalions of SSB - 33rd and 28th - have been deployed in Tadoki and Raoghat areas of the district since 2016 especially for maintenance of the under-construction Dallirajhara (Balod District) Raoghat (Kanker) Railway Project.

In Chhattisgarh, at least 13 jawans were injured when a bus collided with a truck in the Janjgir-Champa district on Friday. An officer said the bus was carrying policemen who were put on CM's security duty to visit the district. Janjgir-Champa Superintendent of Police (SP) Abhishek Pallava said that the incident took place near Kansada bridge in the Sorinarayan police station area at 7.45 am. However, CM Bhupesh Baghel's proposed visit to Janjgir-Champa has been cancelled due to bad weather.
