New Delhi: In the crisis period of the Corona epidemic, all business sectors have suffered significant economic losses. The country's scientific research organization ISRO is also not untouched by this. ISRO earns huge money every year by launching foreign satellites and through other space programs, but this year ISRO's revenue has reduced to just Rs 8 crore.

For this, the stagnation in the new space program of all countries is being attributed to the global epidemic coronavirus. Answering a question by RTI activist Ranjan Tomar, ISRO's commercial arm Antrix Corporation has informed that in the year 2019-20, ISRO has earned only Rs 8.09 crore. Earlier, income was Rs 331.97 crore in 2018-19 and Rs 239.12 crore in 2017-18.

Earlier, the Indian Space Research Organization had earned Rs 287.31 crore in 2014-15, Rs 255.94 crore in 2015-16, Rs 229.59 crore in 2016-17. In 2008, Antrix earned Rs 950 crore by selling its space products, due to which it was given the status of Small Gem Company. But this year, Corona has also put a break on ISRO's earnings.
