Delhi violence case: Delhi special cell interrogates Jamia Millia student

New Delhi: Special Cell of Delhi Police on Wednesdayquestioned Chandan Kumar, student of Jamia Millia University, for about four hours on the Delhi violence case. Chandan is also the secretary of the AISA unit. During the interrogation, the police raised many questions related to the violence and picketing. Although Chandan Kumar had expressed his desire to join the investigation through video conference in view of the coronavirus, the special cell called Chandan to his office and questioned him.

The questioning took place for four hours and after this the police released Chandan Kumar. According to police sources, many people are being questioned in connection with the investigation. Against which there is not enough evidence, it is not being arrested. Efforts are being made to connect the links of the entire case by questioning. However, this student organization has accused Delhi Police of committing atrocities. Chandan was also questioned by the cell team about his location during the sit-in demonstration and violence.

According to sources, Chandan was questioned for appearing in some places during picketing demonstrations in protest against CAA and NRC. Apart from this, he was also questioned about whether he had any role in instigating the protesters. Investigations are also being done regarding the role of Chandan Kumar in the Jamia violence case.
