New Delhi: In view of the continuous decline in new corona cases in Delhi and the situation is improving, the authorities are expected to allow opening of salons and weekly markets from next week. Sources said this on Saturday. Announcing the opening of markets, malls and Delhi Metrolast week, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal had said that if the corona situation in the capital improves, many other activities will be allowed to be started in the near future.

The same source claimed that there is a possibility that the Delhi government may give more concessions like granting approval to open salons and weekly markets from next week. According to sources, in addition, gyms, theatres and restaurants are also being considered. In view of the reduction in new corona cases in the national capital, the Government had approved the opening of construction works and factories by removing the restrictions imposed under lockdown in a phased manner from May 31.

According to the Health Bulletin of the Delhi Government, 213 new corona cases were reported and 25 patients died in the last 24 hours. According to it, the rate of infection has come down to 0.3 percent. The Chamber of Trade and Industry (CTI) has demanded reopening of salons and gyms from June 14. CTI Chairman Brijesh Goel said the CTI has written to the Delhi government and Delhi Disaster Management Authority demanding opening of salons and gyms. He said about 15 lakh people are connected to the area.
