Ujjain: District administration has demolished a chili powder manufacturer’s factory near Gadhkalika Temple on Thursday. 5 days ago the officials raided and sealed the factory after receiving complaints of adulteration. As per SDM RM Tripathi, the food and safety department took the samples of chili powder from the factory and sent them to for testing. As per the test reports chili powder was substandard and was not good for health. Tripathi further told that factory was illegally established near Gadhkalika Temple. It was actually recorded in the name of Ramprasad and Ramprasad had given the land’s possession contractual basis to Mahesh Porwal who started illegal chili powder factory on the land.

 On Thursday morning the team of officials reached the spot with CSP AR Negi and TI Jiwajiganj police station. The officials informed factory owner Mahesh Porwal and razed the factory to ground. As per officials, the factory was operating in the Simhastha area where permanent constructions are not allowed. The factory which was under running for over a year has now been completely bulldozed.
