A Muslim organization has urged clerics to refuse to solemnize the marriage if DJs or brass bands are played at wedding ceremonies. Not only this, the Muslim Mahasabha said in a statement that it has sought the cooperation of ulema and clerics to convince the Muslim community to conduct the wedding ceremony in a simple manner.

With this, the Muslim Mahasabha says, 'They will continue to oppose the wastage of money in marriage ceremonies.' Apart from this, the statement said, 'A written guarantee should also be taken from the families that they will not encourage this DJ culture in future.'
