Aligarh: A woman was allegedly raped by a doctor at a charitable hospital in Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh district on Wednesday, police said. On this allegation of the woman, the police arrested the accused doctor late at night. The woman said that the doctors had given her some medicine saying that it has to be taken before the ultrasound, after which she fell unconscious.

The 25-year-old woman, a resident of the Dadon area, alleged that she has been undergoing treatment at a charitable hospital in Achaltal for nearly seven months. She comes to Dr. Surendra Singh Chauhan (BHMS) to get medicines. She also reached the hospital on Thursday (December 22). During this time, the 55-year-old doctor advised an ultrasound. When she agreed to the doctor's advice, the doctor took her with him on the pretext of getting an ultrasound done at a hospital located in the Quarsi area.  

According to the complaint given by the woman, the doctor took her to the house of one of his acquaintances instead of taking her to the hospital. There she was given a medicine, which he told her that it had to be eaten before the ultrasound. He then raped her. At present, the police have arrested the accused and started further investigation.
