Kapil dev the former Indian captain and the first to lead the world cup winning team of the nation will be honoured at Eden garden, Kolkata on India's second test against New Zealand which will also be team India's 250th match at Eden garden.
The occasion is going to be decorated by small ritual, which involves a Brass bell which is covered by silver, like there in lord's. The bell was imported from Chandigarh.
The decision of giving this homnour way made by Cricket Association of Bengal(CAB)'s president Saurav Ganguly. The former captain said "Kapil dev will ring the bell"
Along with this bell, a new ritual is going to be introduced. The ritual of tossing a new gold coin. It will be first tossed in the second test between India and New Zealand and later every matche's field or batting decision will be made by that gold coin.
