Srinagar: An encounter between security forces and militants is going on in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district. Meanwhile, the security forces have met with great success. They have killed three terrorists. Two security forces have been injured. Continued firing from both sides. The encounter continues from yesterday evening. Security forces are conducting search operations to find the hidden terrorists.

According to media reports, the identity of the slain militants has not been identified yet. Meanwhile, it is also reported that an army soldier and a policeman have also been injured during this encounter. On the previous day, the security forces in Shopian district had busted three active bases of the terrorists. On the basis of intelligence input, security forces conducted a search operation in the Yerwan area of Shopian in the morning, an army official said.

Three active targets - two large and one small - were busted during the search operation. During this period a large amount of 'administrative material' related to the terrorists including a personal diary was recovered. On June 23, two militants were killed and a CRPF jawan was killed in an encounter between security forces and militants in Pulwama district.
