Everyone should exercise 30 minutes a day for a healthy society: District Collector RV Karnan

Karimnagar: District Collector RV Karnan flagged off Azadi Ka Amrit Run organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra at Ambedkar Stadium here on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, the Collector suggested that youth should give priority to fitness and devote half an hour daily for sports or yoga and physical exercise. For a healthy society, everyone should exercise 30 minutes a day.

Additional collectors Garima Agarwal and Shyam Prasad, DYSO K. Rajaveer, Nehru Yuva Kendra Coordinator Rambabu, Olympic Association Secretary G Janardhan Reddy and Commissioner of Police (CP) Satyanarayana were also present. The Commissioner of Police said that mobile phones should be used only when needed and online games like PUBG should be avoided.

He said that youth should make lifestyle changes and give priority to health. Physical exercise can help reduce stress as everyone is stressed in their daily lives. On this occasion, NSS, NCC cadets and youth were administered the oath of 'Fit India'. The race started from Ambedkar Stadium in which NSS volunteers, NCC cadets, degree students, youth and athletes participated and ended at Telangana Chowk.
