Mumbai: A shocking incident is coming to light from the Jhaveri Bazar area of Mumbai, the country's financial capital. Here, fake ED officers raided the office of a businessman and fled after looting crores of rupees. According to the information received, four unidentified people reached the businessman's office and described themselves as ED officers. After that, they handcuffed an employee there. Seeing this, everyone present in the businessman's office got scared. After this, the criminals fled with Rs 25 lakh cash and 3 kg gold kept in the office.

The accused have taken away gold worth Rs 1.70 crore, the trader said. Based on the businessman's complaint, the police have registered a case against the four unidentified criminals under sections 394, 506 (2), and 120B of the IPC. Police sources said that the culprits are being searched with the help of CCTV.

On January 15 last week, Dehradun police arrested Sagarna, a gang of robbers from Udaipur in Rajasthan on the lines of the film 'Special 26'. Dehradun SSP Dalip Singh Kunwar had told that the name of the arrested criminal is Pawandeep. He is a resident of Rohini Delhi. In February 2022, he along with six of his associates had conducted a fake raid at the house of Sandeep, a financier living in Balmiki Nagar, Rishikesh. He said that all of them were arrested and put behind bars, but Pawandeep escaped. Subsequently, a reward of Rs 10,000 was announced for his arrest.
