Panchmahal: A shocking incident is coming to light from Gujarat in which a dangerous fire broke out due to an explosion inside Gujarat Fluorochemicals Limited (GFL) at Goghba in Panchmahal district. Several persons were reportedly injured in the accident. Police officials in the district confirmed an explosion around 10 am on Thursday. Police reported that the sound of the blast was heard several kilometres away.
Smoke is seen rising from the sky in the video of the accident. The flames are also seen rising upwards. Many people are feared to have lost their lives in this fire. Fire tenders were sent from across the district to control the fire.
Panchmahal district superintendent of police Leena Patil confirmed the deaths. He said, two persons have lost their lives in the accident so far. We are yet to confirm the number of persons injured. It is estimated that at least 13 or 14 more people are seriously injured. He said a team of fire officials is ascertaining whether any person is trapped inside the premises. More information on the nature of the accident is being collected.
