The student, who was beaten up, is said to have asked the SP to investigate the case and take action against the erring policemen. In this case, the victim says, 'He went to a restaurant in Barkacha at his friend's birthday party. He was taking tea on Station Road after returning from Dhaba at night. It was then that Katra Kotwal along with his colleagues reached Station Road and brutally thrashed him. He was injured. The video of the beating in the case went viral on social media and as soon as the video went viral, people started calling the police barbaric.
As soon as the video of the student's beating went viral on social media, there was a commotion in the police department and ASP City Sanjay Verma has made a statement in this regard.
