Considering green as her lucky color, wrapping in green saree and signing the oath of affirmation with green color pen, a beautiful silent Jayalalithaa Jayaram or better known as Amma, which people love to call her.

Her life has always been a puzzle. She might raise slowly but always left her remark on the people. Starting her career in just 15 year as an actress to achieve 6 time victory as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, is never has been as easy as it seems.

She did everything she wanted even fearlessly, from facing many challenges like corruption charges being the people’s choice 6 times as a Chief Minister, a great job she did alone, and prove herself as a One Woman Army.

Childhood life:

She belongs to a simple Brahmin family, in her very short age of 2 she lost her father .As growing older; her family only challenge is to survive.

She was also a topper in her childhood; in 10th standard she won Gold in State Award for coming first in whole Tamil Nadu state. She aspired to be a lawyer like her father.

Acting Career:

At the age of 15 she was renamed herself as Sandhya and start working as an actress, she first joined local drama then took her  turn towards Tamil cinema. Jayalalithaa is a trained dancer; she knows many forms such as Bharatanatyam, Mohiniattam, Manipuri and Kathak. In May 1960 she took her debut dance performance where The Chief Guest Shivaji Ganesan said to her mother that “her daughter will be a huge film star”.

Political Journey:

In 1982, she joined the AIADMK party. In her very first public speech she used the term, "Pennin Perumai" which means "The Greatness of a Woman" In 1983, she was selected as candidate in the by-election for the Tiruchendur Assembly constituency and also became propaganda secretary for the party.

In Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly in 1989 Jayalalithaa-led minority of the AIADMK won by 27 seats and became the first woman to be elected as Leader of the Opposition.

Jayalilatha was once ferociously targeted and verbally injured by the ruling DMK members at that time, in front of the assembly speaker. She just left the Assembly, without saying a single word. This scene gave her great sympathy among people and DMK leader and its member were criticized for doing such to her.

In 1991 She came up as a first CM of Tamil Nadu and the youngest one of the state. In November  2011 she was charged with corruption for spending Rs. 6 Crore expenses in the wedding of her nurture son Sudhakaran it was viewed on large screens by over 150,000 people. Not only had this there was many other corruption charges filed against here. Jayalalitha was arrested on 7 December 1996 and was remanded to 30 day judicial custody in connection with the Colour TV scandal.

It is said that she is financially very rich, even when her house was raid by income-tax officer about 10,000 sarees found in her home, she has many factories in her name which serves in Tamil Nadu.

In 2001, she one more time has chosen as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, even after facing corruption charges. Her Third term as Chief Minister was in 2011.

In 2014 Jayalalithaa was sentenced to four years in jail and fined Rs 100 crore by the Special Court in Bangalore. She was convicted in an 18-year-old disproportionate assets case on the basis of Income Tax Department report. But no controversy and charges stopped this mystery lady and again in 2015 she became the choice of people and Return as Chief Minister.

Again she made a conical winning in 2016 .It’s been two consecutive year of her victory as Chief Minister. She showed everyone that she believes in doing not in screaming and showing off. She records a legendry victory by making a mammoth margin of 39545 votes. After Marudhur Gopalan Ramachandran (Dr.MGR), Jaya became the second Chief Minister to be elected twice as CM consecutively. Commenting on every one that tries to demolish her, She said in her wining speech that, "Even when 10 parties allied themselves against me, I did not have a coalition and I placed my faith in God and built an alliance with the people. It is clear that the people have faith in me and I have total faith in the people".
